What actually moves his views

  1. 01

Questions open twice as strong as claims

Question openings 39K vs claim openings 20K median plays

Most of his Reels (110 of 173) open with a statement of opinion. The 25 that open with a question do about twice as well: "What's the fastest way to scale a business? Hire an A-player or spend money on ads?" (447K), "Do you know what this guy does that makes him special?" (212K). A question hands the viewer a puzzle; a claim asks them to agree or scroll.

Limits: 25 question openings is a modest group. The gap is wide, but treat its exact size as directional.

Try this: Take your next claim and turn it into the question it answers. "Hiring beats ads" becomes "Hire an A-player or spend on ads?"

  2. 02

    Steps and Q&A beat opinions

    Q&A 51K · steps 45K vs explanation 18K · opinion 17K median plays

When he lays out numbered steps or answers a specific question, his Reels get 2.5 to 3 times the plays of his explanations and opinion pieces. "I will tell you the number one lesson that I learned from..." (394K) and the kindergarten-teacher presentation method (377K) both hand the viewer something to use. His opinion Reels, which make up a big share of his output, sit at the bottom.

Limits: Q&A is a small group (10 Reels). Steps (17) is the steadier signal.

Try this: Before you post an opinion, ask: what would someone do differently after watching? Make that the structure: step one, step two.

FAQ

How was this analysis made?

We collected his latest 200 public Instagram Reels and transcribed the ones with speech. Reels with no speech or no real script were set aside. Jev (a typed AI judgment model) labeled the remaining 173 scripts on eight dimensions. Jev only reads the words, never the view counts. We then compared median plays across the labels.

Is this affiliated with Sharran Srivatsaa?

No. This is an independent analysis of publicly available Reels. We only quote short opening lines and link to the original posts.

Do these patterns cause more views?

Not necessarily. These are medians within one account, with no significance testing. They are patterns worth testing on your own content, not proof of what causes reach.

Independent analysis of public Reels by AI Topia, not affiliated with Sharran Srivatsaa. Data as of October 7, 2026: 200 Reels collected, 173 with speech decoded, 12 without speech skipped, 3 music or vlog Reels without a script set aside. Plays and likes change over time.
