The Cult Sheet: two years of content in 8 columns
Alex Hormozi says spend a weekend filling it out. Claude fills it from what you already wrote, then interviews you for the gaps. Ten minutes, not a weekend.
Where this comes from
In a talk called “How to build a cult”, Hormozi walks through how he built strong affinity with an audience. Not by inventing a character. By writing down who he already is, in 8 columns, the way a comic book writer would brief a hero: origin, beliefs, powers, enemies, weaknesses.
His line at the end: “this whole list is your content calendar for the next two years.” Every cell is a moment that changed how you act. Tell that moment and people get the lesson without the scar.
The catch is the weekend. Most people never sit down for it. So the sheet stays blank and the content stays random.
Source: Alex Hormozi, “How to build a cult”. The 8 columns start around the Dan Kennedy story.
Watch on YouTubeWhy Claude does it faster than you
You already wrote most of this sheet. It is spread across your posts, your emails, your call transcripts and your bio. Claude reads all of it at once, sorts it into the 8 columns, and then asks you only the questions it couldn't answer. You talk for ten minutes. The sheet is full.
It also catches the thing people skip: the flaws column. Claude will not let you leave it empty.
The 8 columns
Hormozi's question for each column, and one cell from my own sheet so you can see the shape.
1 · Origins
What happened to you before anyone was watching? The 5 to 8 bullets a stranger would use to retell your story.
Mine: Korean-American, moved to the US, started AI Topia after watching founders stall on video. Built our whole marketing team as Claude Code skills.
2 · Dogma
What do you believe about your industry that most people get wrong? One line per belief, plus the moment that taught you.
Mine: A founder’s voice is an asset. Consistency beats effort. The system should run without the founder operating it.
3 · Exceptional
What have you done that few people have? Outputs (results) and inputs (work most people won’t do). Small counts.
Mine: An AI avatar account that reached 22M views in 6 months. 30+ marketing skills running as one CMO on Claude Code.
4 · Enemies
What behaviors are you against? Not people. The habits and ideas your brand stands opposite to.
Mine: Posting when you feel like it. Generic AI avatars with no voice behind them. Tool hype without a business reason.
5 · Flaws
What are you bad at, and what did it cost you? Say it before anyone else can.
Mine: I start more systems than I finish. I over-build before I sell.
6 · Associations
Who and what do you want to be tied to? Which associations have you declined?
Mine: Claude and Claude Code. Founders with a real offer. Not: faceless growth-hack accounts.
7 · Language
What have you named? Frameworks, steps, inside words your audience repeats back to you.
Mine: Founder clone. Video Engine. Brand Brain. Videomaxxing. Jev score.
8 · Likability
What shows up between the points? Habits, obsessions, the human side that long-form lets through.
Mine: Korean coffee shop as an office. Reads every comment. Tests every new model the week it ships.
Step 1
Gather five inputs
Open a new Claude chat, or better, a Claude Project. Drop these in:
- Your bio or about page the public version of your story
- 10 of your best posts or captions your beliefs and your words, already written
- 2 transcripts a podcast, a sales call, a long video. Stories come out when you talk
- 3 DMs or emails where you explained what you do the plain-language version of your dogma
- Your resume or LinkedIn the exceptional column hides in there
Don't clean anything up. Rough is better. Claude is looking for the stories, not the polish.
If you already built a brand voice file, add it. The sheet and the voice file feed each other.
Step 6
Rerun it every month
The sheet is never done. Every month, drop the month's new posts and transcripts into the project and ask Claude which columns grew. New flaws, new enemies and new language are the fastest content you will ever make, because the story is still fresh.
Once a topic from the sheet hits, don't move on. Videomaxx it.
