Chapter 11

AI SDR with Claude + Sales Navigator

Turn a small list of relevant prospects into researched outreach drafts and a clear follow-up queue. Sales Navigator helps you find prospects; Claude organizes the evidence, drafts messages, and prepares review.

What you need

  • Sales Navigator access for searches and lead alerts.
  • Claude Code and the copyable Skills linked below.
  • Your ideal customer profile (ICP), current offer, and voice rules.
  • A prospect table with source-backed observations.

Start with five prospects. Use Sales Navigator's role, company, and geography filters, save suitable leads, and inspect their alerts. Saved searches, lead alerts.

Prepare your own table from reviewed information or an available authorized integration. This playbook does not depend on a native Sales Navigator lead CSV export.

The workflow

2. Check fitCompare the prospect against your ICP and exclusionsLead Scoring
3. DraftCreate three message options tied to the evidenceMessage Writer
4. Review and handle repliesCheck drafts; classify replies when they arriveDraft Reviewer and Reply Handler
5. QualifyIdentify what to ask next before suggesting a meetingMeeting Qualifier
6. LearnCompare actual sends, replies, and held meetingsPerformance Analyst

The SDR Director coordinates these steps. Skills are reusable instructions, not automatically separate agents. A separate review context can help catch mistakes but does not guarantee accuracy or reply rates.

Set up once

  1. Create a working project with icp.md, offer.md, voice.md, and prospects.csv.
  2. Give each prospect a stable lead_id. Include name, title, company, profile URL, signal text, signal date, and source URL. Include the evidence your ICP needs.
  3. Copy each linked Skill's code block into its stated .claude/skills/ location.
  4. Start Claude Code in that project and invoke /sdr with the request below.

Use icp.md, offer.md, voice.md, and prospects.csv. Process the five prospects and save results under sdr-runs/today/. Hold missing evidence for review. Produce outreach drafts and a brief explaining who fits, why now, and what needs checking. Do not send messages or update my CRM.

What a good result looks like

Illustrative example: a prospect posted a dated announcement about expanding their content team.

Claude should preserve that source, check whether the company fits your ICP, and draft a relevant question about the expansion. It should not conclude that hiring proves they need your service.

Your brief should link each draft to its evidence, explain held leads, and identify what you should review next.

The human handoff

Approve and send chosen messages yourself. Record the lead, chosen variant, channel, and send date. Feed actual replies back into the workflow.

Before creating a CRM deal, confirm the contact, stage, next follow-up, follow-up count, and stage-change date. Treat a meeting as booked only when it is actually confirmed.

This is a draft playbook, not a tested deployment. Start with one reviewed batch before adding integrations or scheduling.
