Chapter 12

LinkedIn Content System

Build one connected path from a useful post to a relevant sales conversation.

Find a buyer problem → write → offer a useful resource → respond → qualify → follow up.

Start with one post

You do not need eight installed Skills or several publishing tools to begin. Start with LinkedIn, one offer, and a resource you can actually deliver.

Prepare three files in your working project:

  • offer.md: who you help, what you solve, and your ICP exclusions.
  • voice.md: a few writing rules and three examples of your own posts.
  • evidence.md: customer questions, observations, and claims you can support.

To build the voice file, ask Claude to identify patterns in your examples, then correct its summary. Explicitly ask it to read these files; placing a voice file in a folder does not make every Skill load it automatically.

Follow the workflow

Publish only after the resource and its delivery link are ready. A “comment to receive it” CTA should describe something you can provide.

Try the first half

Read offer.md, voice.md, and evidence.md. Suggest three LinkedIn angles around a buyer problem and recommend one. Wait for my choice. Then draft three post versions and outline one useful resource tied to the chosen angle. Save everything as drafts and flag unsupported claims.

If using Claude Code Skills, copy the blocks from the linked notes into their stated folders, then invoke the matching command, such as /viral-content-generator. You can also use the instructions as a normal prompt; that does not install a Skill. Official Skill setup.

After someone responds

Deliver what they requested. Then use the actual comment, profile evidence, and conversation to decide whether a follow-up is relevant.

Review this post and the supplied comments against offer.md. Separate resource requests, relevant conversations, and unknown fit. Draft resource-delivery replies using my verified link. For suitable conversations, suggest one useful next question. Do not send anything or create CRM records.

Illustrative example: a post explains why content engagement stalls before a sales conversation. The resource is a follow-up checklist. A reader requests it, then says their team loses track of replies. That stated problem gives you a reason to explore their process. The original comment alone does not establish buying intent.

Keep a small tracking table

Record the source post, contact/profile, resource request, delivery date, conversation status, and next action. When a deal is qualified, link its Contact and record Stage, Next Follow-up, Follow-up Count, and Stage Changed On.

Review actual resource requests, relevant conversations, and booked or held calls. Keep these separate from impressions and likes. Use recurring questions to choose the next post.

Expand only when useful

  • Need recurring themes? Use Content Pillar Generator.
  • Already publish on X? Use LinkedIn to X Converter.

These are optional extensions. Each Skill has one home; the workflow links to it without repeating its instructions.

This is an adapted draft playbook. The extracted Skills have not been tested on a live campaign.
